BOROUGH OF DEAL, NJ
Deal Police Receive Accreditation
01-Aug-2012Deal Police Chief Stephen R. Carasia is proud to announce the Deal Police department is now one of only a few police departments in the state to achieve the Coveted accreditation from the New Jersey Association of State Police and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Only about 70 police departments in New Jersey have achieved this accreditation by complying with 122 standards set up by the association.
Accreditation is a progressive and time proven way of helping law enforcement agencies calculate and improve their overall performance. The foundation of Accreditation lies in the adoption of standards containing a clear statement of professional objectives. Accreditation status represents a significant professional achievement. Accreditation assures employees that every aspect of the agency's personnel system is in accord with best police practices. Officers will have clear policies and procedures and will be able to perform their duties with pride knowing that their agency represents the very best in law enforcement. The Deal Police Department prides itself on the professionalism of our officers and will continue to serve the residents of Deal, Interlaken and the Village of Loch Arbour with the level of service they have come to know, expect and deserve.
